Summary:

This report displays the achievement levels of the two most recent years of CAASPP exams in English Language Arts.

The two years of achievement data has been conveniently cross referenced to a growth determination.

The Lexile measures have been included from the previous 2 years of CAASPP exams as well as the previous 2 years of i-Ready exams (when data is available). They have been displayed longitudinally to depict the level of increase or decrease over time.

i-Ready’s relative placement for the literacy domains have been displayed longitudinally to depict the level of increase or decrease over time.

Usage:

Use this report to

  • Analyze comparisons between CAASPP achievement levels and student growth across district, campuses, and grade levels.
  • Form student groups by cross referencing growth to achievement level.
  • Choose differentiated curriculum for student groups based on literacy domain growth and performance.
  • Choose differentiated resources for student groups based on Lexile ranges.
  • Target instructional support based upon demographics that affect learning situations; such as specific disability types.

Special Notes:

  • Typical Lexile ranges are calculated by subtracting 100 points and add 50 points to the exact measure.
    • Example:
      • Lexile Measure = 150L
      • Lexile Range = 50L – 200L
