File Center – How to upload CAASPP Files

CAASPP – California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress – Accepted Data File Layout

The accepted file type is CSV
Filename should not contain any spaces
File should not be opened prior to loading
Do not load zipped files

Accepted CAASPP File

Please load the district level student score data file that is associated to the Local Educational Agency California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress Student Data File Layout described below.

This file should be available through your Test Operations Management System (TOMS) site and will first need to be drawn from their system locally and then uploaded into the OnDataSuite File Center. If the file is provided to you as a zipped file, please extract the contents of that folder locally and upload the extracted CSV document only.

Steps to load CAASPP file into file center

Step 1: Click the ‘File Center’ link at the top of the screen

Step 2: Click on ‘Data Sources’ sub header

Step 3: Select the file center CAASPP button to upload your assessment file

Step 4: Review the blue hyperlink knowledge base article associated with the file you are about to upload. (This is a very important step as these articles contain the most up to date information on the file.)

Step 5. Select the file year associated to your file format year you are uploading from the drop down year selector.

Step 6. Click on the green CAASPP upload button

After you click the green button you will need to locate the file you are going to load on your computer. Select your file and click the ‘open’ button to begin the process.

Step 6: Review/confirm the file is the correct file you are attempting to upload and confirm the year the file format is associated to then click the green ‘Start Upload’ button

File Delete
