Using CALPADS course completion data, the report identifies students as <strong>Participants<\/strong>, <strong>Concentrators<\/strong>, or <strong>Completers<\/strong> based on completed coursework and displays aggregated counts by Industry Sector and Pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An accompanying dashboard widget allows districts to monitor pathway progress, validate student coding, and track participation and completion trends across CTE programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Source<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report uses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CALPADS student course completion records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>California CTE Valid Codes reference file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following tabs from the Valid Codes file are used to determine pathway assignments and course classifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CTE Pathway &#8211; CTE Industry Sector<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Course Group Master Combos<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CTE Pathway &#8211; CTE Subpathways<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only records where <strong>Last Academic Year Effective<\/strong> is either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>N\/A<\/strong>, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>current academic year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">are included in the pathway mapping process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available Filters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to all standard student and report filters, the report includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CTE Pathway<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Industry Sector<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subpathway<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These filters allow users to analyze participation and completion within specific CTE programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pathway Mapping<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Student course completions are mapped to CTE pathways using the California Valid Codes file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industry Sector Assignment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pathways are grouped under the associated <strong>Industry Sector Name<\/strong> from the <strong>CTE Pathway &#8211; CTE Industry Sector<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course Classification<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Course Group Master Combos<\/strong> tab is used to identify course types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Status Determination<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are evaluated within each pathway and assigned the highest status they have earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Completer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A student is identified as a <strong>Completer<\/strong> when they have successfully completed a designated <strong>Capstone Course<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Concentrator<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A student is identified as a <strong>Concentrator<\/strong> when they have completed a designated <strong>Concentrator Course<\/strong> but have not completed a Capstone Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participant<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A student is identified as a <strong>Participant<\/strong> when they have completed introductory pathway coursework but have not completed either a Concentrator or Capstone Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Multiple Pathway Handling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some students may be associated with a subpathway identified as <strong>Multiple Pathways<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a student:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Has a status of <strong>Participant<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Belongs to a subpathway of <strong>Multiple Pathways<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the student will be reported under:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Multiple Industry Sectors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This ensures students are appropriately represented when pathway participation cannot yet be attributed to a single industry sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Report Output<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report summarizes student counts by <strong>Industry Sector<\/strong> and displays:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participant Count<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Concentrator Count<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completer Count<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows districts to quickly evaluate pathway engagement and progression across CTE programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drilldown Functionality<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Users can drill into report results to view additional detail at multiple levels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Industry Sector<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View all pathways within a selected industry sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pathway<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View student counts and status information for a specific pathway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student List<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Review all students associated with the selected pathway or status category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Individual Student<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access student-level details to verify course completions and pathway assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
