๐Ÿ“Š How to Interpret the Data

Average RIT Score

RIT scores measure student achievement on a continuous instructional scale. Higher scores generally indicate higher levels of academic performance.

Average Percentile Rank

Percentile rank compares student performance to a national norm group.

  • 50th percentile represents the national average.
  • Higher percentiles indicate performance above national averages.

Average Observed Growth

Observed Growth reflects actual student progress between testing windows.

A value of 0.00 may indicate:

  • A prior or comparison assessment window is missing
  • Growth calculations are not yet available
  • The student does not have valid paired test records

Met Projected Growth

NWEA provides projected growth targets based on prior student performance.

  • Yes / Yes* = Student met or exceeded projected growth expectations
  • No / No* = Student did not meet projected growth expectations

An asterisk (*) may indicate special calculation conditions or partial assessment data depending on the NWEA data provided.

Percent Meeting Projected Growth

This metric summarizes the overall percentage of students who achieved their projected growth goals.

A value of 0.00% or N/A may indicate:

  • Growth calculations are not yet available
  • Students lack valid comparison test windows
  • Required assessment records are missing
